Videocon Telecom is planning to invest about Rs 3 billion-Rs 3.5 billion in 2015 towards network expansion, including setting up of new mobile towers as well as standalone retail stores. The operator is also planning to invest about Rs 12 billion over a 3-year period for 4G services.

The company is targeting an increase in contribution of data services to 15 per cent of gross revenues by end of 2015-16. Apart from this, the company will focus on its non-spectrum businesses, which includes providing services such as bulk messaging solutions, virtual mobile number solutions, virtual PBX, audio video conferencing and fibre-to-home services.

Videocon Telecom is targeting break-even across three of its existing circles – Madhya Pradesh (including Chhattisgarh), Haryana and Gujarat. It is planning to break-even in Madhya Pradesh circle by June 2015 and in Haryana and Gujarat circles by March 2016 and December 2016 respectively.

The telecom company holds spectrum in seven circles and has a total subscriber base of about 13.5 million subscribers.
