Huawei is reportedly looking to consolidate its presence in the Indian handset space.
The company recently launched the Ascend Mate phablet in India, priced at Rs 24,900. It has inked partnerships with retail majors Croma, Ezone, Flipkart, Snapdeal, etc, to market its devices in the country.
Going forward, Huawei plans to pump in Rs 1.75 billion towards brand building exercises and strengthening its retail presence in India.
It is believed that the company is aiming to sell 1 million smartphones over the next six months.
