TRAI has begun a consultation process to finalise guidelines on mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs). Expressing support for the entry of MVNOs into the Indian market, TRAI has stated that this would be a natural progression towards free market principles, and would contribute to the efficient use of the existing telecom infrastructure.
