The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) told a Delhi court that the findings of an expert committee, set up by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to assess the annual value of spectrum, was in consonance with its own estimate.

The CBI had estimated a loss of Rs 300 billion to the exchequer owing to 2G spectrum allocation.

Special public prosecutor U.U. Lalit told the special CBI Judge O. P. Saini, “The CBI had asked TRAI to evaluate the pricing of spectrum after a technical and commercial probe. The figures pertaining to the loss are in consonance with our estimate.?
