Thailand’s telecommunications regulator, National Telecommunications Commission, has approved plans by mobile operator DTAC to upgrade its existing network to 3G.

Thailand’s telecommunications regulator, National Telecommunications Commission, has approved plans by mobile operator DTAC to upgrade its existing network to 3G. DTAC has framed a 5 billion baht investment plan to build about 1,200 new base stations during the first phase of upgradation. The company will initially introduce 3G services in Bangkok, Phuket and Chon Buri.
