
Anumber of international telecom companies are reportedly inter ested in a stake in Shyam Telelink, which operates fixed line and CDMA-based mobile services in Rajasthan. While Korea Telecom is in the forefront of the race to snap up a majority stake in Shyam Telelink, US-based Sprint, Deutsche Telekom and Sweden-based Telia are also reportedly in the running. Shyam Telelink has aggressive expansion plans, and proceeds from the equity sale are expected to go towards rolling out operations beyond Rajasthan.
