Reliance Communications (RCOM) has partnered with Panasonic for providing cloud-based video surveillance service to enterprises in the country.

RCOM had, in 2014, partnered with Hitachi for storage on cloud, IBM for cloud computing, Polycon for video conferencing and Google for ad word search engine. Through such strategic partnerships, the company is targeting revenue of Rs 4 billion from cloud-based services over the next two years, with Rs 2 billion expected to come from cloud-based video surveillance services.

RCOM is initially targeting sectors like banking, financial services and insurance, retail, healthcare and education segments, and plans to move on to tap manufacturing and other sectors with time.
