Reliance Jio has successfully carried out trials for the integration of energy utilities through sensors with its 5G standalone (5G SA) network.
The trial witnessed Jio integrating energy utilities through sensors with its 5G SA network for automating the entire value chain of energy management including distribution and consumption. The success of the trial enables exciting use cases, which will have far reaching implications for industrial setups, as well as for 5G-enabled smart cities.
Lately, Jio also conducted the pilot of connected robotics, voice and messaging over 5G NR, an AI multimedia chatbot, and immersive high-definition virtual reality (HD VR) meeting, over its home-grown 5G stack.
Going forward, the telco intends to export its homegrown 5G solution abroad once it has been tested competently on a pan-India scale.
