Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has identified several measures through which it hopes to mitigate its financial losses, say news reports.
The key measures include obtaining a refund of Rs 60 billion from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) by surrendering its broadband wireless access (BWA) spectrum and offering a voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) to its employees that is expected to save around Rs 24 billion per annum.
Other measures include developing its property across the country through a public private partnership model and focusing on value-added services to generate profits.
