Kaynes Semicon, a subsidiary of Kaynes Technology, will invest Rs 40 billion to set up an outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT)/assembly, testing, marking and packaging (ATMP) plants in the next one to two years. Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Bhubaneswar are the preferred locations for setting up the facility. According to the company, the investment will create over 1,000 jobs in the next couple of months.
Additionally, Kaynes Technology will invest around Rs 2 billion in its research and development for OSAT projects. The company is also investing in a bare board printed circuit board plant with high-density interconnect technology. The company has already raised money for this investment.
