Huawei is targeting to double its sales to $1 billion in India by 2017. In order to achieve the target revenues, the company has chalked out a three-year business plan, under which it is contemplating meeting most of its domestic requirement through its manufacturing facility in Chennai.  Further, Huawei is planning to increase the production at the facility to meet the increasing demand.

According to the company, more than half of its carrier business comes from 3G and 4G networks deals and the share of revenues from such deals would increase in the future as all operators are now focusing on mobile broadband.

The company will also set up an enterprise division to cater to telecom solution needs of business organisations and is planning to partner with Indian IT companies in the future.

Recently, it invested $170 million in establishing a research and development (R&D) facility at Bengaluru.
