ESDS Software Solution Limited has reportedly announced plans to invest Rs 6 billion ($70 million) to set up a data centre in Raipur, marking its first facility in the state. Currently, Chhattisgarh does not have an operational colocation data centre, although RackBank recently commenced construction of a campus in Nava Raipur, located east of the capital.
ESDS has not yet disclosed details regarding the size, location, capacity, or timeline for development of the new facility.
At present, the company operates 60,000 sq ft (5,576 sqm) of data centre space across four sites, one in Punjab, two in Rajasthan, and one in Maharashtra, including Mumbai.
