In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Tata Communications has said that the recent appointment of two Department of Telecommunications (DoT) officials on its board were in the capacity of additional directors and not permanent directors.
Prior to this, the company had announced the appointment of A.K. Mittal, senior deputy director general and Saurabh Tiwari, deputy director general, DoT on its board as permanent (non-retiring) directors.
Thereafter, Tata Communications corrected its announcement that these officials will serve as addition directors on the board until the next annual general meeting.
