Verizon Communications has elevated Sowmyanarayan Sampath, currently leading Verizon Business Group, to executive vice president and CEO of Verizon Consumer Group (VCG), while Kyle Malady, currently leading Global Networks and Technology, has been appointed as the executive vice president and CEO of Verizon Business Group (VBG).

Meanwhile, Matt Ellis, who has served as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Verizon since November 2016, will be leaving the company to pursue other interests, effective May 1, 2023. Also, Tony Skiadas, the senior vice president and controller of Verizon has been appointed as the chief financial officer. Besides, Mary-Lee Stillwell, vice president of Accounting and External Reporting has been appointed as the senior vice president and controller.

The recent rejig in the leadership team aims at setting the path for the company’s future growth plans. The company expects that these appointments are expected to develop and grow the next generation of its leadership teams as the company unleashes Verizon’s full potential moving forward.
