China Mobile has selected Nortel to upgrade its optical backbone network in Zhejiang Province to address accelerating subscriber growth and prepare for migration to third-generation (3G) services.
Zhejiang Mobile, a provincial affiliate of China Mobile, operates the provincewide network.
