The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has summoned Analjit Singh, non-executive chairman, Vodafone India for an alleged foreign exchange violation case against Vodafone India, say news reports.
The ED is examining whether the operator received funds and complied with the norms of the Reserve Bank of India regarding the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). The alleged matter of violation of FEMA was referred to ED by the Central Vigilance Commission in 2007.
ED has asked Singh to appear before it on August 31, 2012. Singh has to present documents related to company as well as his personal finances before ED.
