Lucent Technologies, the world’s leading CDMA infrastructure provider, has signed an agreement with VIVO to increase the capacity and coverage of VIVO’s 3G CDMA2000 1x network. Lucent’s solutions will be used to expand the operator’s network in the Sao Paolo, Rio de Janeiro, Espirito Santo and Sergipe markets. It will enable VIVO to offer high quality voice and high speed mobile data services. Lucent will also provide operational support systems solutions to help VIVO meet and exceed its QoS goals.
