
British Telecom (BT Plc) has started selling a part of its 23 per cent stake in India-based information-technology major, tech Mahindra.
According to the data on Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange, BT has sold off five to 10 per cent of its stake in the open market. Shares worth Rs 6 billion have been traded on the stock exchange.
At the end of the last quarter, the total promoters holding in Tech Mahindra stood at 70.78 per cent, with Mahindra & Mahindra holding 47.57 per cent, BT Plc holding 23.16 per cent and Mahindra BT Investment Company Mauritius having a stake of 0.05 per cent.
