According to the data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Bharti Airtel has registered an increase of 1.1 per cent in its revenue market share (RMS) for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.

The operator commanded RMS of 30.3 per cent of the industry?s total sales for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to RMS of 29.2 per cent for the quarter ended March, 2012.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2012, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular have registered RMS of 22.7 per cent and 15 per cent, respectively.

As per the TRAI data, Bharti Airtel?s RMS declined from 33.8 per cent in the first quarter of 2009-10 to 29.2 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2011-12. For the same period Vodafone India and Idea Cellular increased their RMS by 200 basis points and 280 basis points, respectively.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2012, RCOM registered a decline of 1.2 per cent in its RMS. The operator accounted for 7.1 per cent of the total revenues in the Indian telecom industry. For the corresponding period Tata Teleservices registered a decline of 0.2 per cent in its RMS.
