Tata Electronics has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ASML under which the Dutch company will supply lithography tools and solutions for Tata’s upcoming 300mm semiconductor fabrication plant in Dholera, Gujarat.

The two companies will also collaborate on developing domestic talent, strengthening the supply chain and advancing research initiatives to support the long-term growth of the Dholera facility.

Tata Electronics is currently building India’s first 300mm commercial semiconductor fab in Dholera with a planned investment of $11 billion. The facility is expected to manufacture semiconductors for automotive, mobile devices, artificial intelligence and other key sectors for global customers.

In addition, the company has also partnered with Taiwan-based Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC), giving it access to technologies across nodes including 28nm, 40nm, 55nm, 90nm and 110nm. According to the statement, construction of the plant is progressing rapidly.
