Union minister of communications and development of north eastern region chaired a meeting of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee of the Telecom Research Standardisation and Innovation Committee in New Delhi.

The minister said the meeting centred on key use cases of captive non-public networks (CNPNs) and their applications, noting that such networks can enable faster and more reliable connectivity, foster innovation and strengthen digital infrastructure for citizens and enterprises alike.

The minister added that discussions also covered the industry-led smart intelligent village project and its potential alignment with the Department of Telecommunications’ (DoT) Samriddh Gram initiative. He said these efforts are consistent with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat by promoting inclusive and locally driven rural development.
