Jio
Reliance Jio is offering its customers bonus data worth Rs 61 along with its low-validity plan. This plan is not a new offering. Based on consumers’ requirements, the prepaid plan, worth Rs 399, now provides 3 GB of daily data, apart from the aforementioned 6 GB of bonus data, adding up to a total of 90 GB of data for the plan’s validity period of 28 days. This plan is aimed at consumers who have high levels of mobile data consumption. The plan also provides unlimited voice calling, 100 SMS texts per day, and a subscription to Jio apps. Users subscribing to this plan are also eligible for the unlimited 5G data offer from the company.
In order to ramp up its over-the-top (OTT) content strategy, Jio has also launched five new prepaid recharge packs which come bundled with a subscription to JioSaavn Pro (worth Rs 99 per month). The plans, worth Rs 269, Rs 529 and Rs 739, will offer 1.5 GB of data along with unlimited voice calling and SMSs, with validity periods of 28 days, 56 days and 84 days respectively.
Airtel
Bharti Airtel has launched a new prepaid plan for its customers, priced at Rs 289. The plan comes with a validity period of 35 days, and provides 4 GB of data, 300 SMSs and unlimited voice calling. It also includes free access to Apollo 24/7 Circle for three months, Hellotunes and Wynk Music.
Airtel has also launched a new Airtel Black plan priced at Rs 1,099, which aims to provide an improved OTT experience. It comes with a direct-to-home connection worth Rs 350, and unlimited voice calling. Users will also enjoy an Xtreme fibre connection with unlimited internet and speeds of up to 200 Mbps. Customers can avail the free installation service offered by Airtel. The pack also offers subscriptions to Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar, and access to the Airtel Xstream App, which includes content from over 12 OTT platforms.
Vi
Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has introduced two new data-only vouchers for its customers with active base prepaid plans, priced at Rs 24 and Rs 49. The Rs 24 plan, also known as the “Super Hour” plan, comes with a validity of one hour, during which users have access to unlimited data. Meanwhile, the Rs 49 plan offers 6 GB of data for one day.
Vi has also revised its offerings in Delhi by changing its minimum recharge plan and introducing new plans. These modifications come in the wake of similar alterations made in Mumbai and Gujarat, to adapt to the competitive telecom landscape. The validity period of the Rs 99 plan has been reduced from 28 days to 15 days. All other offerings under the plan remain the same, namely, 200 MB of data, and talk-time worth Rs 99, with no added SMS benefits. Similarly, the validity period of the Rs 128 has been reduced from 28 days to 18 days. The plan will still provide 10 local on-net night minutes, and all local/national calls will be priced at 2.5 paise per second between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Vi has also launched four new plans in Gujarat and Mumbai. The first is priced at Rs 198, providing talktime worth Rs 198 along with 500 MB of data for 30 days. The second is priced at Rs 204, and comes with talktime worth Rs 204 and 500 MB of data for one month. Calls made under these plans are charged at a rate of 2.5 paise per second. The third plan is priced at Rs 224, and provides users with unlimited voice calling and 4 GB of data for 30 days. The fourth plan, priced at Rs 232, provides the same benefits for a validity period of one month. These four plans are exclusive to Delhi, Mumbai and Gujarat, and none of them provide SMS benefits.
Vi is also offering Wi-Fi calling services to customers in select circles in Bihar, making the state the 15th telecom circle to get support for Wi-Fi calling.
