Mobile phone operator Vodafone has launched a 525 million euro lawsuit against Telecom Italia, alleging that the Italian group had abused its market position. As per Vodafone Italia, the Italian arm of the UK group, Telecom Italia and its mobile unit TIM, used Vodafone’s position in the Italian fixed line sector to win mobile customers. The company has claimed that Telecom Italia used information on fixed line customers to make them wireless offers for joining TIM. Telecom Italia has denied these allegations.
