Mumbai-based Videocon Telecom is reportedly planning to sell 49 per cent stake in its mobile operating business if it is given a good offer in the market. According to the company, it is keen on an acquisition and is even ready to give away management control.

The telecom operator has spectrum in seven circles, but offers services only in Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat circles. Recently, its telecom arm in Punjab circle Quadrant Televentures was awarded a Category A internet services provider?s licence to launch pan-India internet services.
