US private equity firm New Enterprise Associates (NEA) is negotiating with HFCL Infotel to acquire a 50 per cent stake in it for about Rs 3.5 billion. HFCL Infotel is the listed arm of HFCL, which offers CDMA services in Punjab. NEA is planning to invest $125-$175 million from its $2.5 billion fund.
