The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the deadline for submission of comments and counter comments on the issues raised in the consultation paper titled “Digital Transformation through 5G Ecosystem.”
The consultation paper was released on September 29, 2023. Initially, the last date for receiving written comments on the issues raised in the consultation paper was fixed as October 30, 2023, and for counter comments as November 13, 2023. However, on the request of stakeholders, the last date for submission of written comments and counter comments was extended up to November 27, 2023, and December 11, 2023, and further up to December 26, 2023, and January 8, 2024, respectively.
Now, keeping in view the request of industry associations for an extension of time for submission of comments due to various reasons such as difficulty in collecting the inputs from their members and the parliament passing the new draft Indian Telecommunications Bill 2023, TRAI has decided to extend the last date for submission of written comments and counter comments up to January 22, 2023, and February 5, 2024, respectively.
