Ericsson has bagged a major four-year network expansion and managed services contract from Warid Telecom of Bangladesh. The deal involves supplying, rolling out and operating Warid Telecom’s GSM/GPRS network in Dhaka, which has the largest number of mobile users in the country. Ericsson has already bagged two contracts from Warid Telecom to supply and roll out all Mobile Softswitch, packet core and backbone transmission equipment for the telcom company’s GSM/GPRS network in other parts of Bangladesh.
