The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has increased its holdings in China Telecom by purchasing 49.4 million shares at an average price of 3.555 yuan per share on March 26, 2010. With this, the bank has increased its stake in the telecom operator from 6.97 per cent to 7.32 per cent.
