• As per the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) data, operators generated gross revenues of Rs 404.07 billion during the quarter ended September 2018. These included unified access service licence (UASL), unified licence (UL) and mobile+basic licence holders.
  • Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) reported the highest gross revenue of Rs 135.42 billion followed by Bharti Airtel (Rs 124.95 billion), Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) (Rs 107.38 billion), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) (Rs 20.47 billion) and Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) (Rs 9.78 billion).
  • Circle-wise, Maharashtra emerged as the highest revenue grosser with Rs 33.07 billion. It was followed by Andhra Pradesh (Rs 30.79 billion), Delhi (Rs 30.7 billion), Tamil Nadu and Chennai (Rs 30.02 billion and Karnataka (Rs 29.91 billion).
  • The lowest revenue generating telecom circles were Himachal Pradesh (Rs 3.14 billion), the Northeast (Rs 3.77 billion), Jammu & Kashmir (Rs 3.81 billion), Assam (Rs 6.96 billion) and Odisha (Rs 8.92 billion).
