• As per TRAI’s data, companies operating in the national long distance (NLD) space generated total gross revenues of Rs 101.43 billion during the quarter ended September 2018.
  • With Rs 37.39 billion, Bharti Airtel accounted for 36.86 per cent of the total industry NLD revenues. It was followed by VIL (Rs 34.08 billion), BSNL (Rs 9.41 billion), RJIL (Rs 7.65 billion) and Tata Communications (Rs 5.54 billion).
  • Meanwhile, companies operating in the international long distance (ILD) space generated total gross revenues of Rs 33.3 billion during the quarter under consideration.
  • Bharti Airtel recorded the highest gross revenue in the ILD segment at Rs 15.34 billion. It was followed by VIL (Rs 5.57 billion), AT&T Global (Rs 2.34 billion), Tata Communications (Rs 2.2 billion) and Verizon Communications (Rs 1.99 billion).
