The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has directed Tulip Telecom to pay Rs 8.1 million to Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL), failing which TTSL must  discontinue its services to Tulip Telecom.

TDSAT in its order dated July 12, 2013 had directed TTSL to restore telecom services to Tulip Telecom subject to the payment of dues by the latter. TDSAT had set July 17, 2013 as the deadline for the payment of dues. However, Tulip Telecom failed to deliver on the deadline and consequently TTSL approached TDSAT requesting an intervention. In response to TTSL?s request, TDSAT has revoked its earlier decision stating that Tulip Telecom did not have any intention of paying TTSL.
