Tata Communications has reported its consolidated financial results according to Indian GAAP for the quarter ended 30 September 2011.

The company?s gross revenue was Rs 33.74 billion for the quarter ended 30 September, 2011, against Rs 29.61 billion reported in the corresponding quarter last year.

Operating profit (earnings before interest, taxes and depreciation) grew 60 per cent to Rs 4.78 billion for the quarter ended 30 September, 2011 against Rs 2.99 billion in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company?s data segment?s gross revenue grew 12 per cent and the voice segment?s net revenue grew 4 per cent year-on-year across their global operations.

The core business? EBITDA margins improved by 370 bps year on year to 16.1 per cent in the quarter under consideration.

The core business registered a PAT of Rs 180 million during the quarter ended 30 September 2011.

Neotel, Tata Communications? subsidiary in South Africa, continued its growth momentum. It posted a 30 per cent year on year growth in revenue and for the first time reported an operating profit this quarter.
