Lenovo has appointed Sumir Bhatia as VP, data centre group, Asia-Pacific. Bhatia will take over from Amar Babu, chief operating officer, Lenovo, Asia-Pacific, and general manager, ASEAN. In his new role, Bhatia will drive the growth of Lenovo’s data centre business across the Asia-Pacific region, and lead the sales, product and go-to-market execution. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry across sales, business development and marketing. Prior to this, Bhatia had worked with Dell in various leadership roles.
