To boost its software services business, domestic handset maker Lava International has appointed Rahul Agarwal as chief technology officer (CTO) and Ankit Pal as design head. As CTO, Agarwal will oversee the development of mobile-enabled ­software platforms and new enterprise initiatives, products and services. Prior to this, Agarwal was head of engineering at India Homes. Meanwhile, Pal will be responsible for developing Lava’s mobile phone design roadmap in India to enable the company establish an ecosystem for mobile manufacturing. Pal comes with extensive experience in hardware design and product management across geographies such as China, Japan, the US, Europe and India.
