Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of Galaxy Tab S, with Super AMOLED display, offering advanced display technology. Available in 10.5 inch and 8.4 inch versions, the new Galaxy Tab S is powered with enhanced productivity features for multitasking purposes.
The Galaxy Tab S range will be available in India from mid-July 2014 at a market operating price of Rs 37,800 for 8.4 inch and Rs 44,800 for 10.5 inch variant. Offered with Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity options, the new Tab S series will be available in two colours, Titanium Bronze and Dazzling White.

The Galaxy Tab S? adaptive display ensures the best visual experience by adjusting gamma, saturation and sharpness based on the application being viewed, the color temperature of the viewing environment and ambient lighting. Pre-set professional modes ? AMOLED Cinema and AMOLED Photo ? also let users manually adjust the display settings for bright, dynamic results for both video and photo content. Both the Galaxy Tab S tablets are light and easy to carry, having a 6.6mm profile at only 467g (10.5 inch) and 298 g (8.4 inch).
The Galaxy Tab S is powered by Exynos 5 Octa-core core processor. The Tab has 3GB RAM and a 16 GB of internal memory which is expandable to 128 GB. The Tablet is equipped with Android?s Kit-Kat operating system and has an 8 megapixel rear camera with full HD video in high quality capability and a 2.1 megapixel HD front camera.
Samsung has teamed up with the world?s leading mobile content and service providers to offer its Galaxy Tab S users premium content and services across a wide range of industries. Leading the content offering is MyPlex with a pack of 100 free HD movies exclusively for the Tab S. Magzter has also created a special plan of 21 leading Indian magazines with a 3 month subscription for Tab S users. With Samsung’s strategic partnership with Marvel, Galaxy Tab S users will be able to access over 15,000 Marvel Comics through three months of unlimited free membership to Marvel?s ?Marvel Unlimited? app. Galaxy Tab S users will also receive a free book every month through Samsung Book Deals, along with e-reading experience provided through access to a vast range of e-books in the Kindle store. Samsung has also partnered with Google Play, Google?s online digital entertainment store offering apps, games, music, movies, books and magazines.
Further, as part of its introductory offer, all Samsung Galaxy Tab S consumers will get 9 GB of free data from Reliance Communications (RCOM). In addition, consumers will also get free access to a library of more than 1,000 movies through BigFlix for three months on the RCOM connection.The Galaxy Tab S delivers several enhanced productivity and security features. While the Tab S has calling built in, users can also make and receive calls directly from their phone (currently supporting the Galaxy S5) to their Galaxy Tab S, with the Call Forwarding feature via SideSync 3.0. The Galaxy Tab S allows consumers to multitask, enabling them to surf the web, watch videos, share content and make calls simultaneously without closing one to access another.
Galaxy Tab S comes with a choice of accessories. The Book Cover accessory configures to three different display angles to provide a comfortable position to watch videos, read or type.
