The Mobile Handset Division of Videocon has launched a new feature phone model, the VPhone Grande.

The device offers a great large screen experience and features a 2.8? QVGA display screen for an immersive multimedia experience along with a movie-hall like video playback. The large screen also offers the convenience of big on-screen fonts that enable elderly people to dial numbers and access on-screen menu easily.

VPhone Grande has a sleek and international look and comes with a two inter-changeable back panels.

It brings an easy vista to communicate for the diverse Indian consumer through its inbuilt 6 regional language support wherein languages like Hindi, Punjabi and Tamil amongst others are supported. This device also offers the convenience of a ?Smart Call Facility? that makes the user aware of an incoming call thus removing issues of missed important calls.

Other key features include 1.3 megapixel camera, 1100mAH battery, Movie Juke Box Application, Security Inbox, Smart Auto Call Recording feature, and Smart Call Divert feature.

Commenting on the launch of the product, Jerold Pereira, chief executive officer (CEO) of Videocon?s Mobile Handset Division, stated ?feature phones category still retains a mega share of the Indian mobile handset market. Normally phone designs are staid and boring. There is a shift towards premium ID?s in feature phones. Vphone Grande is Videocon?s first step to make the feature phone category exciting with premium design, international looks and great features at an affordable price?

The VPhone Grande is priced at Rs 1,950.
