Sai Ram Prasad has been appointed as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Pace Group in India. Prasad joins Pace from Axiata, where he was serving as the chief technology officer (CTO) of Axiata?s subsidiary focused on communications infrastructure, edotco group.
In his new role, Prasad will head Pace Group?s companies – Pace Power Systems, Pace Renewable Energy, and Lineage Power, which was recently acquired from GE. However, his primary task will be to integrate Lineage Power within the Group. Lineage Power specialises in manufacturing of energy management systems for telecom companies. Along with this, Prasad will be responsible for establishing the company in the Indian as well as Southeast Asian markets.
In this past, Prasad has served as the CTO and chief operations and maintenance (O&M) officer at Bharti Infratel. He has also worked with Tata Teleservices Limited and Idea Cellular, heading several projects pertaining to network rollout as well as O&M of networks.
