Reliance Communication and the Punjab-based HFCL Infotel have reduced tariffs in a battle for greater market share. While Reliance has cut international long distance (ILD) rates for calling card users by up to 66 per cent, HFCL has announced a flat rate of Rs 1.20 for three minutes for calls to all networks in the state. These moves are likely to spark off another round of rate cuts.
