Reliance Communications (RCOM) has realigned its business units to better serve diverse needs of its enterprise customer base in India and overseas. Further the restructuring is aimed at bringing in a more integrated approach to the enhancement of revenues and optimisation of costs.
As part of the reorganistion, RCOM has expanded the role of Bill Barney, currently chief executive officer (CEO) of Global Cloud Xchange (GCX). In addition to his current responsibilities, Barney will also oversee RCOM?s Enterprise, Internet Data Centre and National Long Distance operations in India, while continuing as chairman and CEO of GCX. Meanwhile, RCOM?s domestic enterprise business CEO Deepak Khanna will continue to manage the Enterprise and IDC businesses in India under Barney?s overall leadership.
Barney will continue to operate out of Hong Kong and Mumbai. He joined the company in 2014 as CEO of Reliance Globalcom, which was rebranded as Global Cloud Xchange in March 2014.
