
The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will re-examine the Comptroller and Auditor General of India?s (CAG) report on the 2G spectrum allocation case. The Committee plans to question the official who had conducted an audit of spectrum allocation in 2008.
R.P. Singh, former director general of Audit (Post and Telecommunications) will appear before the PAC at its next meeting as a witness. The Committee is expected to question him about the methods he used to estimate the losses in the 2G spectrum allocation.
Prior to this, Singh, in internal communications, had pegged losses caused by 2G spectrum allotment at Rs 26.45 billion.
