Nokia India has come out with the first edition of its bi-annual customer preference survey, Nokia Mobisight for June-December 2012.
This survey tracks consumer preferences of subscribers using mobile internet. Nokia Mobisight has tracked the behavior of mobile internet users, providing insights into user preferences for games, applications and music etc.
The survey findings reveal that between July and December 2012, Nokia powered data consumption of 1.67 PetaBytes with total page views pegged at 12.7 billion.

Accessing internet after school, college and office hours:
Users in the country are accessing internet after school, college and office hours, with peak access time for Nokia Browser ranging from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh have the highest number of active Nokia Browser users. Another trend highlighted in the report pertains to users in South India consuming more internet on-the-go. Also, as compared to Google Search, more and more people are logging onto facebook. Interestingly, watching videos on the move is becoming popular habit with internet users. YouTube, Tubidy and VuClip are some of the leading video websites featuring prominently in the top 10 sites accessed on the Nokia Browser.
Privacy is a top priority with users
According to report youngsters are increasingly visiting social sites but at the same time they are highly concerned about their privacy. The Nokia Store has witnessed higher downloads for privacy-led applications in comparison to any other service. Mobile phone security applications are ranked fourth in the top five applications downloaded on Nokia Browser.
Popular Applications
Nokia Life, a suite of personally relevant information services available on Nokia Browser reveals interesting insights regarding the most popular applications being accessed by internet users. Agriculture is the top most application subscribed by users, thereby indicating that an increasing number of farmers are using Nokia Life. Further, a higher number of gamers are downloading car racing games, followed by super hero games.
