MTNL and Reliance Infocomm are likely to sign an agreement to jointly tap the overseas telecom market. Since MTNL already has some experience in operating telecom networks in Nepal and Mauritius, and Reliance Infocomm has access to FLAG’s extensive undersea cable links, the companies can use each other’s expertise to explore international business opportunities. The two companies are already looking at opportunities in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
