
The consolidated total revenues of Bharti Airtel for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 grew by 47 per cent to Rs 34.11 billion while its cash profit from operations grew by 46 per cent to Rs 12.05 billion over the corresponding period last year. The net profit during the quarter ended March 31, 2006 was Rs 6.82 billion, an increase of 49 per cent over the Rs 4.59 billion registered in the corresponding quarter of 2004-05. The revenues and net profit for the full year ended March 31, 2006 were Rs 116.6 billion and 22.5 billion respectively. As of March 31, 2006, Bharti had a customer base of 20.9 million, a 77 per cent increase over the corresponding period last year, and a wireless market share of 21.8 per cent.
