Motorola is in the process of acquiring broadband video company BitBand. BitBand specialises in infrastructure and software to deliver IPTV services as well as products for on-demand content delivery networks. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but BitBand had been seeking a $4 to $5 billion acquisition price.

With the addition of BitBand’s products, Motorola will be able to offer on-demand solutions to its customers.
