Handset vendor-Micromax is planning to set up a manufacturing facility in Telangana. The company is presently holding discussions with the state government to set up the plant, and will submit a formal application on June 12, 2015. The land for the manufacturing facility is yet to be identified.
Recently, the Indian Cellular Association had approached the Telangana government with a proposal to establish a phone manufacturing hub near Hyderabad. Meanwhile, the state government is planning to send delegations to South Korea and Japan to attract investments into the state.
