An IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, Aruna Sundararajan has been appointed as the secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Sundararajan will take over from Aruna Sharma, who has been moved to the Ministry of Steel. In the past, Sundararajan has worked as chief executive officer (CEO) at the National Common Service Centre, and administrator of the Universal Service Obligation Fund. She has also worked as IT secretary of Kerala.
