Akash Ambani takes charge as the Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm

Mukesh Ambani has stepped down from the board of Reliance JioInfocomm. Going forward, Akash Ambani will take over as the chairman, Reliance JioInfocomm.

Prior to the recent rejig, Akash Ambani served as the non-executive director on the board of Reliance Jio. However, Mukesh Ambani will still be involved in the strategy for growing the business.

In addition, the board has also appointed Pankaj Mohan Pawar as managing director of the company for five years. Meanwhile, RS Gujral and KV Chowdary have been inducted as independent directors for five years.
