Malaysian mobile operator Maxis Communications and Chennai-based industrialist C. Sivasankaran are going in for arbitration over Aircel. The latter had sold 74 per cent stake in Aircel to Maxis in January 2006. Sivasankaran has reportedly alleged that Maxis is exploring sale of Aircel’s stake to AT&T, which is in violation of the share purchase agreement signed between him and Maxis.
