Japan’s NTT DoCoMo and Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) are planning to buy additional stake in Taiwan’s third largest mobile operator, FarEasTone Telecommunications (FET)

Japan’s NTT DoCoMo and Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) are planning to buy additional stake in Taiwan’s third largest mobile operator, FarEasTone Telecommunications (FET). The move will enable them to assign a member on FET’s board. An FET shareholder needs at least 7-8 per cent stake to join the company’s board of directors. NTT DoCoMo and SingTel presently hold 4.9 per cent and 3.98 per cent stake respectively.
