Indonesian mobile operator Smart Telecom has deployed the world’s first CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev. B network in Bali.

Indonesian mobile operator Smart Telecom has deployed the world’s first CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev. B network in Bali. This upgraded technology enables maximum download speeds of 9.3 Mbps and 5.4 Mbps in the uplink. The company plans to upgrade the majority of its networks to Rev. B by end-2010. Smart Telecom will also commercially launch Rev. B-enabled data card services for laptop users soon.
